For many people Anne Frank has become a symbol of the six million Jewish men, women, and children who were murdered by the Nazis in the Second World War. The diary that she wrote while in hiding from the Nazis has been published in fifty-five languages and more than 20 million copies have been sold. Eighth graders at River Glen Middle School will be reading and discussing The Diary of Anne Frank during the second grading period of 2004.
